Video 1 — dangerous myths about Jewish power...

John, with antisemitism at the highest level we’ve seen in decades, we must do everything we can to remind the public about its dangers — including the threats we continue to face from enduring antisemitic tropes.

ADL is releasing one new video a week in this seven-part series about the pernicious myths that have spread for centuries and still fuel anti-Jewish hate today.

The first video in the series explains tropes about Jewish power, tracing a line of lies from the Middle Ages to the Czarist fraud of ‘The Protocols of the Elders of Zion’ to modern-day hate voiced by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Louis Farrakhan, Alex Jones and others that has found traction in the media, online and even in the political world.

Power Myth Video

The video series is a companion to Antisemitism Uncovered: A Guide to Old Myths in a New Era, ADL’s comprehensive online guide to antisemitic canards and their modern manifestations.

There is an urgent need for these videos, and for antisemitism education overall. As we saw recently with the hostage crisis in Colleyville, Texas, there are those who not only take these myths seriously but are motivated to carry out violence because of them.

We hope these videos — along with the guide itself — will help a new generation on social media to understand the bias the Jewish community encounters to this day because of ancient and persistent hatreds. The videos will be shared across ADL’s social media channels and will be viewable in each chapter of the online guide.

We ask you to watch these videos each week and share them and the Antisemitism Uncovered website with anyone who needs a reminder of the dangers of these remarkably persistent and damaging lies.

Ukraine Crisis: Resources and What You Can Do

ADL condemns in the strongest terms Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and aggression towards the Ukrainian people. This unnecessary war has caused thousands of deaths, is unleashing untold misery on the civilian population, and threatens the independence of Ukraine, a sovereign country and a fellow democracy.

Go to ADL’s Ukraine Crisis section for ways to help organizations doing vital humanitarian work, to advocate for refugees, to learn about Ukraine and its Jewish community and to fight the spread of misinformation about the conflict, including Russian claims that the Ukrainian government and its leaders are “Nazis.”
