Friends — I have some big news to share with you this morning, and an important request to make.
Today, I’m proud to announce my endorsement of Jessica Cisneros and her campaign to represent the people of Texas’ 28th congressional district.
Jessica is facing a critical runoff election on May 24, and I’m hoping you can step up for her in a big way today to show our movement has her back.
Can you split a $5 contribution between Jessica Cisneros and our campaign’s efforts to continue building the progressive movement across the country? [[link removed]]
Jessica is a strong progressive, an immigration rights lawyer, and a champion for a Green New Deal and Medicare for All who has proven she has what it takes to take on the most powerful corporate interests in our country.
She has shown what is possible when you run on policies that center working people, and is ready to cross the finish line in this runoff and bring her leadership to Congress to deliver clean water, air, and jobs to South Texas and communities across the country.
This is a people-powered campaign, and Jessica isn’t accepting any money from corporate PACs or lobbyists to fund it. That means she’s counting on us — a grassroots movement of lots and lots of people chipping in what they can.
Please split a donation — of $5 or anything you can — between Jessica Cisneros and our campaign’s efforts to continue building the progressive movement in Congress and beyond. [[link removed]]
The only way we’ll send a Green New Deal and Build Back Better champion like Jessica to Congress is together, so thank you in advance for adding your contribution today.
This is what our movement is all about.
In solidarity,
Ed Markey
