Your voice is urgently needed to support transgender kids and their families in Texas.

This Friday, officials with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) will hold a public meeting. DFPS is the agency tasked with carrying out Gov. Abbott's cruel directive that providing gender-affirming care be investigated as child abuse.

This is your chance to speak out.

We invite you to support transgender kids and their families by taking one or more of the following actions:

• Submit a public comment to DFPS: Let them know, in your own words, that Gov. Abbott's directive is wrong and families with transgender children should be left alone.
• Share your story by submitting anonymous testimony: If you are part of a family with transgender children, you can submit your testimony anonymously. Our partners and volunteers will read your testimony at the meeting on your behalf.
• If you're in Austin, volunteer to read testimony: Our partners need volunteers to attend the DFPS meeting in person and read the anonymous testimony of families with transgender children. 

Transgender children and their parents want to be left alone and their private medical decisions should be made in consultation with medical professionals, and without the interference of state politicians.
