Thousands of taxpayers like you have been supporting the Canadian Taxpayers Federation for more than 30 years and it means the world to us that you trust us to stand up for you.

And we’re absolutely committed to continuing to earn your trust for years to come.

I know protecting your privacy is more important than ever. But I also appreciate that when you read media stories about crowdfunding websites getting hacked and bank accounts connected to other organizations getting frozen by the government, it can be worrisome. I wanted to reach out and answer questions we’ve gotten from a few supporters.

First, we take every precaution to keep your data secure. We don’t keep any donor or credit card information on our website. In the event of a hack of Taxpayer.com, the worst they can do is take it offline. Information such as addresses are kept on a database that’s completely separate from our website. And we never use crowdfunding sites such as GoFundMe, Kickstarter or GiveSendGo.

Second, we never share your financial information with the government. The government has never frozen our accounts or gone after our donors. We’ve always stood up for your privacy and we always will.
