Friend,
It's no secret that the War on Drugs was more accurately a war on minority communities. Our neighborhoods have witnessed unjust incarceration and targeted discrimination -- and our government needs to make things right.
Not only should marijuana be decriminalized, but as the cannabis industry grows, we need to ensure that the tax revenue generated from these businesses goes back to the communities most hurt by this injustice.
Congress is finally going to consider the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act, which would invest in minority communities, expunge records, and decriminalize marijuana nationwide. We can't wait any longer. We need the MORE Act now. If you agree, add your name to our petition!

We can't fix the harm that's been caused, but we have a chance to put our nation on a path towards a more equal future. Let's make sure that the communities who see the benefits of the growing marijuana industry are the ones who were harmed by the War on Drugs.
Best,
Nydia
