Postmaster General Louis DeJoy announced that the USPS will purchase up to 148,000 gas-powered delivery trucks over objections from the White House, severely undercutting Biden’s climate goals.
DeJoy says the USPS doesn’t have the money – but switching to an electric fleet would have saved the USPS around $4.3 billion in the long term.
Thousands of Six PAC supporters have written to Congress supporting the Postal Service Reform Act, which will help save the USPS. And thousands more have supported new nominees to the USPS Board of Governors who can FIRE Louis DeJoy.
Rather than working on solutions to save the struggling USPS, DeJoy has used the agency’s budget “crisis” to justify harmful service cuts and price increases.
DeJoy has been obstructing democracy since he took control over the USPS.
He approved the removal of hundreds of mail sorting machines ahead of the 2020 election, slowed down mail service, and, reportedly, reimbursed employees for donations they made to Republican campaigns.
Louis DeJoy is a leftover Trump appointee – we’re working to FIRE him.
