We can’t let what happened in Virginia happen in other states
Friend,
In our Battleground Focus series, we’re taking a look at some of the most important AG races on the ballot this year. With more than 30 AG seats up for grabs, we’re walking you through how, where, and why we’re deploying resources to elect Democratic AGs this year in critical states.
Five of the six most recent Massachusetts governors have been Republicans, and with popular Dem AG Maura Healey running to unseat the current Republican Governor, we’re looking at another AG race in a state that has a history of electing statewide Republican officials. We can’t take anything for granted this year in light of what we’ve seen coming out of Virginia.
We’ve seen what happens when Republicans seize control at the state level. In his first months in office, Virginia’s new Republican AG Jason Miyares is dismantling years of progress made by Dem AG Mark Herring on everything from voting access, reproductive care, women’s rights, and civil rights. We need to act now to prevent that from happening in other states around the country.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in 2022, we need your support – will you chip in today?
