Dear Friend, Ruth’s List is thrilled to congratulate two of our endorsed candidates — Dr. Rosalind Osgood and Susy Díaz — on their election victories last night! Dr. Rosalind Osgood officially won her special election in an open seat to represent Senate District 33, becoming one of only two Black women currently serving in the Florida State Senate.
Susy Díaz defeated a longtime incumbent on the Greenacres City Council,
Seat IV by just 46 votes, giving further credence to the saying “every vote counts!” With her election, Susy becomes the only Hispanic member on the council and also creates a female-majority council. |
