This is alarming news, friend. A recent study suggests the endocrine-disrupting chemicals known as phthalates are linked to heart disease and even early death!

Evidence against phthalates has been mounting for years. Previous studies have linked phthalates to changes in hormone levels, reduced sperm count and motility, birth defects and even neurological and behavioral disorders in children.

Experts have found phthalates in nearly 100% of Americans. These chemicals are used in a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including plastic food and beverage containers, perfume, nail polish and toys.

Friend, EWG has been leading this fight for years, consistently urging the FDA to ban the use of phthalates in food packaging and urging further regulatory action to get phthalates out of cosmetics. But we need your help to hold the chemical industry accountable. Take our quick survey, below, to go on the record and help us get phthalates out of our products.

Tell us now: Should the FDA BAN phthalates from food packaging and cosmetics?
