** The Movement for Renewable Heat is Growing!

Yesterday, hundreds of people showed up in Albany with the NY Renews Coalition ([link removed]) to fight for $15 billion in the State Budget to address climate change. That $15 billion would include at least $1 billion/year to fund building electrification for disadvantaged communities.
Today, the Senate Housing Committee passed the All-Electric Building Act, which is the first step in getting the bill through the legislature. If it passes, this bill would make New York the first state in the country to ban fossil fuels in new buildings! The Renewable Heat Now Campaign also held a fantastic media briefing ([link removed]) this morning to tell the story of how electrification of NY’s buildings is both possible and necessary.
