Do you or someone you know have a talent for visual arts? If so, we’d love to see your work in our CVS Art Contest — not only will your submissions make an impact, but we offer $500-$1,000 prizes for our top submissions. You can learn more and submit your artwork here. |
CVS Health has been trying to brand itself as a company that cares about its customers' health — but we know that if they really cared about patients more than profits, they wouldn’t be working to block Medicare for All. It’s time for us to flip the narrative and rebrand CVS in the image that we see: a corporate behemoth that only cares about profits.
That’s why we’re hosting our CVS Art Contest, inviting visual artists to submit their creations (suitable for a postcard or poster) utilizing the CVS logo, slogan, or other branding. Specifically, we’re looking for artwork that speaks to the message of our campaign and to our core demand: that CVS immediately cut ties with the Partnership for America’s Healthcare Future and stop funding anti-Medicare for All efforts.
This contest is all about an artistic method known as “subvertising” — when you take a company’s own branding or logo and reframe it in a way that gets your message across. Over the years, many campaigns have found great success using this method to target large corporations, and we can’t wait to see the impact it has on CVS.
Your work has the opportunity to make a major impact in our campaign to hold CVS accountable — selected works of art will be utilized on printable cards and posters, while also being featured on social media and our website. Additionally, four winners will each receive a $500 prize, with our grand prize winner receiving $1,000.
(If you’re not an artist but have artistic friends, family, or colleagues, please send the form their way!)
Happy creating,
