I’ll be honest, Jack, it can be hard to get people excited about a Secretary of State race. At least not in the way that folks are interested in gubernatorial or congressional seats.
But since the 2018 election, it’s been no secret that voting rights have been under attack in Georgia, and our state has introduced some of the most restrictive voter suppression laws in the country.
That’s exactly why this position is so important to me. As your Secretary of State, I will have the responsibility of overseeing all Georgia elections and ensuring that they are safe, secure, clean, and fair.
My mission is to educate voters and provide equal opportunities and access to the polls so that every single eligible voice is heard through the ballot box — despite attempts to disenfranchise voters.
More than ever, it’s critical that Georgians are politically engaged and participate in electing the leaders we want to represent us. I’m committed to not only motivating voter turnout, but to rebuilding faith in our democracy.
