Dear John,
I’m thrilled to share that Victor Davis Hanson has been named the winner of ISI’s 2022 Conservative Book of the Year Award!
This award is well deserved. Dr. Hanson’s recent book The Dying Citizen is brilliant and timely. If, like me, you’re concerned about declining patriotism and decaying social institutions in America, it’s a must-read.
You can hear from Dr. Hanson in-person at the Conservative Book of the Year Award Dinner on Friday, May 13th, at the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington, Delaware.
This Dinner is part of ISI’s second annual Homecoming Weekend and I sincerely hope you’ll join us for the entire event!
You know that we cannot restore a right understanding of citizenship unless we renew a true sense of community. Real community happens when we come together to celebrate true and beautiful things. That’s what Homecoming Weekend is all about.
Hosted on our beautiful 20-acre campus in Wilmington, faculty and students, alumni and friends of ISI will come together for a weekend of fellowship and a renewal.
Highlights of the weekend include:
- A Friday night dinner honoring the winner of ISI’s 2022 Conservative Book of the Year Award, Victor Davis Hanson, for The Dying Citizen: How Progressive Elites, Tribalism, and Globalization Are Destroying the Idea of America
- Additional Saturday Reunion luncheons for Graduate Fellows; Honors Scholars and Society Leaders; and Collegiate Network Editors, Interns, and Fellows past and present
- Our ISI reunion conference Saturday afternoon featuring Ross Douthat, Elbridge Colby, Susan Hanssen, and other exciting speakers
- Saturday evening reception featuring food, live music, and dancing on ISI’s campus
And, if you’re under 30, you can get a discounted ticket for the entire weekend for only $50!
