This past weekend, Senator Daines decided to tweet photos of Ukrainian President Zelenskyy after being explicitly told not to, essentially putting President Zelenskyy’s life at risk. This is completely unacceptable and reckless behavior. It’s ridiculous that Daines would put a man’s life at risk just for a political twitter moment, but this is the kind of behavior we’ve come to expect from him.
If the leader of a country fighting against an unprovoked invasion asks you to not post about a meeting on social media, it’s best to follow that advice… and Daines still hides no shame about potentially putting Zelenskyy’s security at risk. Combine this with Moscow Matt Rosendale voting against supporting Ukraine against Russia’s invasion and it’s clear we haven’t been sending our best and brightest.
