It’s Gilbert —

I’m reaching out one more time about my email below because I believe in the work we’re doing and want you to be part of it in any way that feels powerful to you. In the final hour of 2021, we met our end of year fundraising goal because of people just like you who chipped in to help others and support candidates they care about. Not only are the 2022 midterms on the horizon, so are major fundraising and reporting deadlines and the first is coming up fast.

Make a powerful gift to support Black political power and help us prepare for 2022.

The most tangible impact that you can have today is by making a contribution to Color Of Change PAC so we’re able to stay on top of the political fight that’s coming later this year. Since Giving Tuesday, the average PAC donation has been $15 to support this mission to create meaningful change in the lives of Black people across the country. Donations of any amount help to power our movement, mobilize our base with care and respect and maintain our independence. This is your BEST opportunity right now to make an impact that builds Black political power.

Thanks for all you do and for sticking with us, John. We appreciate you and everything you do to make our communities and nation a better place.

Gilbert Deans, Jr.
Treasurer

John,

Thank you for taking a moment to read our latest update, this time from our Treasurer, Gilbert Deans, Jr. In 2019, Gilbert entered Color Of Change as a Senior Director of Finance where he oversaw the financial and monetary growth of the organization. His deep understanding of fundraising allows him to be a partner to our campaigns and program teams making him essential in carrying out initiatives that strengthen our collective culture and vision.

Gilbert has brought his expertise, empathy, and a deep passion for meeting the needs of underserved communities to his work. If you share this passion to build a movement that will create real and meaningful change in Black people’s lives, we hope you will chip in using Gilbert’s end of year donation link to support our end of the year giving.
- Team COC PAC

John,
My name is Gilbert Deans, Jr., Treasurer at Color Of Change PAC and I have a message for you.
Because of members like you, Color Of Change PAC has helped transform how our nation’s leaders respond to issues that matter to the Black community. In a moment, I’ll ask you to make a meaningful contribution to support racial justice work like building independent Black political power in the next year.

But before I do, I want to let you in on something unique.

Color Of Change PAC members across this nation are known for supporting the type of people and causes that prioritize building Black political power, amplifying Black voices, and holding our elected officials accountable. It should surprise no one that we’ve been effective. We’re well on our way to generating more transformational change and with you by our side, there’s nothing in our way.

The deadline for our final fundraising sprint of the year is close. As a Treasurer with over a decade of experience, trust me when I say that what we raise here will have a major impact on what we’re able to accomplish going forward.

But unlike our opposition, we’re not accepting a dime from corporations that use their deep pockets to manipulate the system and harm our communities. That would surely undermine the work you’ve entrusted us to do.

John, can you chip in $25 to support the kinds of campaigns, direct services, and partnerships Color Of Change PAC is leveraging to bring about meaningful change for Black people across the country?

Our purpose is to build a sustainable container for Black political power and we’re on pace to reach a historic level of member participation. We must do everything we can to uplift candidates who actually engage in the issues that impact our communities the most.

John, I’m passionate about building the accountability that ensures Color Of Change PAC remains responsive to the tragedies that set Black people and communities of color back.

We need all hands to help us meet our ambitious end of year goal that will make 2022 another year creating change and supporting Black people and communities of color. If you can afford it, can you chip in $25 or an amount that’s powerful before the December 31 deadline?

P.S. Your donation to elect progressive district attorneys across the nation pulls us another step closer. Make a gift that’s powerful this moment before our year-end deadline to help us ring in a more just reality for Black people.
