John, we are not the same America we were 50 years ago, or even 10 years ago. That’s why we have a census every decade to count the makeup of our communities.

The new American majority is made up of people of color, unmarried white women under 35, and young people who are eligible to vote. Did you know that 73% of all unregistered voters are in this New American Majority? That means we have to knock on those doors and host hundreds of tabling events to make sure we register every person in this new majority. Will you pitch in $15 right now to ensure that all Pennsylvanians get the representation they deserve? You’ll be making a contribution directly to expanding our electorate and securing our democracy >>

Another fact is that 42% of this group moves residences between election years. That’s why we’re meeting people where they are, in their communities, not only showing up at their doors, but also showing up at their local libraries, community centers and high schools, and talking to them about why voting matters, and making sure they register to vote. We are in communities all across Pennsylvania, year-round, building relationships with the new American majority and making sure they show up to the polls twice a year.

Everything is on the line this year – including the U.S. Senate race. Will you pitch in $15 today and ensure that we get everyone out to the polls? We have to expand the electorate to secure the victory we need to move our state and country forward towards progress. We outnumber the opposition who wants to suppress our voices, so all we have to do is show up to the polls. And that is the work we’re doing here at the New Pennsylvania Project. Make a contribution to save our democracy today >>

The New Pennsylvania Project

-------------------------------------------------------

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in under-represented communities of color and immigrant communities. We will register them to vote, provide education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize people to vote in every election.
