Ongoing Crisis ⚠️: Yesterday, the White House announced that the United States will be banning imports of Russian oil and gas into the country as a result of Russia’s invasion into Ukraine.
Instead of toying with oil from foreign nations like Russia, Iran and Venezuela, President Joe Biden and his administration must free the U.S. energy industry by encouraging increased production as well as reinstating projects like the Keystone XL pipeline that would have provided more oil in a carbon neutral way.
Demand the White House end its war on American-made energy by signing the Energy Independent Petition.

Many preschoolers are still required to wear masks indoors. While some people justify masks for younger children because they aren’t eligible for the vaccine, the World Health Organization does not recommend masks for children 5 and under: “In general, children aged 5 years and under should not be required to wear masks." Preschoolers have the lowest risk of COVID-19 cases compared to any other age demographic. Read more.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics just announced that 678,000 jobs were added in February. The overall unemployment rate edged down to 0.2 percentage points to 3.8%. The unemployment rate for women held steady at 3.6%. Lifting heavy-handed pandemic restrictions, resuming in-person learning, and ending overly generous government benefits are finally driving women and workers back to the labor force. Read more.

Battle-hardened warriors and humanitarian workers familiar with Russia from its presence in Syria are in no doubt Putin is invading with the intention of taking the entire Ukraine. The United States – and an incredibly ineffectual and battle-shy NATO – continually underestimates Putin as a leader and also underestimates the risks of the long-standing provocation of Russia.
