We’re watching history in the making! Back in February, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was nominated to the Supreme Court. If confirmed, she will be the first Black woman to EVER serve as a Justice – that’s huge.

She’s brilliant, has outstanding credentials and is exceedingly qualified to serve on our highest court. So why is Iowa’s senior senator telling D.C. reporters that it’s time to pump the brakes on her appointment process?

Chuck Grassley’s hypocrisy never fails to amaze me. Back in 2020, he was determined to quickly confirm Amy Coney Barrett – and she had NEVER even argued an appeal. Despite being underqualified, her confirmation was one of the quickest in recent history.

Folks, it’s pretty clear there’s a double standard here.  

In fact, Chuck Grassley has continuously played politics with our judiciary. When Merrick Garland was nominated in 2016, Senator Grassley refused to even hold a hearing to consider him. Instead, he left a seat on the Supreme Court’s bench empty for 11 MONTHS!!

His actions are unacceptable, and we can’t let him keep standing in the way of progress. After 47 years in Washington, it’s obvious that he’s more interested in staying in line with Mitch McConnell and his fellow D.C. cronies than doing what’s right for Iowans and people across the country.

That’s why it’s so important that we don’t miss this moment. He’s facing record-low approval ratings, and we have a real chance of defeating him in 2022. 

But friend, if we’re going to retire Chuck Grassley in November, I need your support. Can you pitch in $5 today to help me flip this Senate seat blue, expand our Democratic majority and unseat Chuck Grassley?
