Team,

March is Women’s History Month – a time for all of us to reflect on the achievements women have made throughout history and to uplift our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, and colleagues as they succeed in life.

The progress we’ve made ensures every little girl has the opportunity to achieve anything they set their minds to. I’m proud to serve on Nevada’s congressional delegation as one of four women representatives and set an example for anyone who wants to succeed.

But even as we celebrate our victories, it’s important that we remember that we still have a long way to go. Reproductive rights are still under constant attack all over the country, and women are still being paid far less than their male counterparts for doing the same work. We have to take the opportunity to overcome these challenges and make our communities more equitable for future generations.

If we don’t, we’re only moving backward.

I’m determined to continue the fight for equality so that everyone has the resources and opportunities they need for success. We can only achieve equality when everyone is empowered.

In solidarity,

Susie Lee
