How we close the representation gap:
LGBTQ Victory Fund Logo

John,

Did you see the latest polling from Gallup? Over 7.1 percent of the U.S. population now identifies as LGBTQ – up from 5.6 percent in 2020! That’s great news. But it means that the representation gap for LGBTQ people just got even bigger. Just .2% of elected positions are held by LGBTQ people, and to achieve equal representation, we must elect 35,876 more LGBTQ people to public office.

You can see the impact this lack of representation has in the anti-trans bills and other regressive legislation sweeping the nation. We have a big gap to fill – but with your help, we can do it. Donate today to close the representation gap and elect LGBTQ leaders!

Equitable representation cannot simply be an aspiration, it must be a reality. If we don’t win elections, close the representation gap and hold strong majorities, our rights are on the menu.

That’s the bad news - here's the good news! Victory Fund helped elect over 330 LGBTQ leaders in just the last two years - and we’re predicting over 800 LGBTQ people are going to run for office this year alone.

These are just some of the historic candidates we've supported:
