It’s also an important day of thanks. Many brave patriots fought to give us our independence, and many gave the ultimate sacrifice back then - and since then - so that we can enjoy our freedom today.
I remember celebrating as a child - barbecues, fireworks and throwing the baseball with my dad. July 4th was always the best, and my dad always reminded me of why it is that we celebrate: because the price of freedom is not free.
Now, as a father, I get to do the same with my kids, and there’s no better feeling in the world than getting to pass along these important lessons!
