John
It can seem like a daunting task to make meaningful change. But as the 2022 Legislative Session wrapped up last week, I can’t help but notice that change for the better is currently underway, thanks to those individuals who support o2 Utah.
Because of the work that o2 Utah has done on Capitol Hill in the 2022 session, there are several key wins for air quality that prove Utahns are being heard. Sen. Kirk Cullimore’s SB 188, which provides state vehicles the avenue to switch to zero and low emission options, passed. Additionally, Sen. Cullimore’s request for $2.3 million in appropriations aiming to provide the Department of Air Quality the necessary infrastructure to continue research air quality trends across the Wasatch Front, was adopted into SB 3 and passed. In a big win for o2 Utah’s proposed air quality policy, Rep. Andrew Stoddard submitted Prosperity 2030 for drafting in the house.
These are great steps that lay the foundation for clean air, but the o2 Utah team is ready to keep up the momentum throughout 2022 and get those who will enact policy to improve our air quality elected.
Will you donate $10, $25 or $100 today to help o2 Utah continue building change for better air qualiy?
Without your support, these wins would not have been possible. Your donation goes directly to our efforts, allowing us to be on Capitol Hill, canvassing neighborhoods for like minded candidates, and on the ground working to make change for better air quality.
Please consider donating today and know your donation has an impact. Individuals make the difference.
Thank you,
Greg Yerkes
