A slightly blurred collage of community photos. A march with yellow signs, two people hugging, a meeting, and a person talking on a megaphone are visible. There is a transparent blue overlay and a semi-transparent lighter blue box with the words "Headwaters Foundation for Justice e-newsletter" in black.

Tributary Talk: The Donor's Role in Resourcing Momevements

Register: The Donor's Role in Resourcing Movements

Headwaters believes in the power of relationships. We work in community to raise and move money to the movements that are changing society at every level. Together we work with our donors to amplify the power of community to advance equity and justice.

Join us on April 13 from noon to 1:30 p.m. for the second installment of our Tributary Talks conversation series with Headwaters President Maria De La Cruz!

In April’s Tributary Talk event, we'll host an open conversation about how donors can better center community through their giving. Headwaters organizes donors to give boldly—trusting that the people most affected by injustice lead the way to our collective liberation.

We’ll be joined by local and national members of the Headwaters community who donate, organize money, and encourage brave and accountable giving. Find out more and register on our website!

From the Desk of President Maria De La Cruz

In February, we published President Maria De La Cruz’s latest blog post. In it, she shares how Headwaters leadership came to the decision to move to a 4-day work week, and how the decision fits into the Foundation’s commitment to its values and its people:

“My board and staff have heard me say over and over that achieving the goals in our strategic plan won’t matter if our culture and our people are not healthy. HFJ’s work is about people and community, and that includes our employees.”

Visit our website to read the whole post and learn about the vulnerable conversations that led to this significant, values-aligned shift.
