Dear John,
Once upon a time, the NRA was devoted to hunting and target shooting. But for decades now, the organization has been an extremist lobbying group that's only concerned with promoting their "guns everywhere" agenda.
The NRA and its allies in the U.S. Senate and White House have been holding up all gun safety legislation from becoming law — blocking laws that can save lives now. As we mark the organization's 148th birthday, let's rededicate ourselves to defeating the NRA at the polls just like we did in 2018 and again in Virginia earlier this month. Donate today, so the Everytown Victory Fund can hand the NRA its biggest defeat yet in 2020.

Last year, with your help, we dealt the NRA stunning defeats at the polls. We elected a Gun Sense Majority to the U.S. House of Representatives. We helped elect governors and state legislators who passed gun safety laws in states across the country. And the U.S. House passed four strong gun safety bills, including background checks on all gun sales and historic research funding for gun violence prevention.
But we also saw the lingering influence of the NRA on Capitol Hill. Key lifesaving measures that passed the House have been blocked in the Senate by NRA-backed politicians. If you're like me, you're angry about the inaction in Washington and determined to beat the NRA again in 2020.
Fight with us to end the NRA's stranglehold on politics. Donate on the NRA's birthday to our fight for gun safety at the ballot box >>
