Our local teachers are going to lose thousands of dollars each if the House Republican budget is adopted.

The $200 million dollar cut to Hillsborough's schools, and 11 other districts, was originally supposed to only hit administrator pay and positions. Now, their plan is to cut TEACHER pay and bonuses.

I'm in the middle of it, because the same $200 million is the funding for my bill to help alleviate critical shortages of school bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and janitorial staff by getting them up to $15/hr.

The House and Senate are digging in on budget positions. Let’s make sure the Senate prevails so that our hardworking teachers AND support staff get the raises they need and deserve.

Click below and tell Senate President Simpson to stand firm and not punish our teachers!

Thanks!
