An important update from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington

It’s clear that President Trump is profiting off of the presidency, but we still need to know the extent of this ongoing corruption.

We’ve seen the red flags of Vice President Pence staying at President Trump’s Doonbeg resort in Ireland and Air Force crews staying at his Turnberry resort in Scotland. And now, when it’s come to the point of reportedly untouched rooms being booked in an apparent attempt to curry favor with Trump, Congress must get a better picture of taxpayer and foreign government spending at Trump businesses.

Sign now and call on Congress to follow the money and get answers on who is helping line the president’s pockets.

Thank you,

Since the start of the Trump administration, we’ve tracked more than 2,500 conflicts of interest at Trump properties, including dozens of visits by senior administration officials and foreign government officials. It’s wrong to profit from the presidency, and President Trump has taken corruption and conflicts of interest to unprecedented levels over the last few years.

That’s why we’re calling on Congress to act and hold President Trump accountable for his corrupt profiteering. Sign now and call on Congress to follow the money and get answers about taxpayer spending and foreign visits at Trump properties. >>

Here are some recent lowlights that would be a good place for Congress to start: In early September, Vice President Mike Pence stayed at Trump’s Doonbeg resort in Ireland, even though it was on the opposite side of the country from his meetings. Air Force crews stayed at Trump’s Turnberry resort in Scotland. And recent reports have indicated that some groups, including at least one foreign government, have been booking rooms at Trump hotels to curry favor with the president—but never even used the rooms.

All of this is just what we know from public reporting in the past few weeks. Congress should fully investigate and use its oversight powers to get a comprehensive picture of taxpayer and foreign government spending at Trump properties. We need to know the full extent of President Trump’s profiting from the presidency, and who is helping him line his pockets.

Sign now and tell Congress: Follow the money!

Thank you,
