Yes, Trump's Ukraine response included calling Putin "smart" last week.
Yes, Trump called for the U.S. to attack Russia with American planes with
a Chinese flag painted on the side. Yes, the January 6th Committee says
there's evidence Trump committed crimes.
But it would be political malpractice for anybody to discount the threat
of a 2nd Trump presidency in 2024.
Secretaries of State are the top election officials in key battleground
states and a critical firewall against a stolen 2024 election -- but New
York Magazine reports "Trump is aggressively intervening in state contests
for Secretary of State."

The Atlantic reports, "For more than a year now, state Republican
operatives have been building an apparatus of election theft."
New York Magazine elaborates: "At stake is control of the election
machinery in states where Trump failed...If some of Trump’s candidates do
prevail in November...he’ll know that in the event of another close race,
his acolytes will put their thumbs on the scales and make victory that
much more likely."
Make sure the firewall stands. Make sure pro-voter, pro-democracy
Democratic Secretaries of State have the resources to fend off attacks
from anti-democracy Republican candidates.
