This is an essential step to undermine Putin’s war machine, given that oil and gas exports account for 40% of Russia’s government budget. If the U.S. leads the way in banning Russian oil and gas, others could follow.

Until now, the White House has been reluctant to take this step, due to understandable concern about the impact on global fuel prices. But with Putin escalating his aggression against innocent people very day, there is just no time to wait.
