John, today is one of my favorite days of the year, International Women’s Day!
Today is a time to honor the generations of women who have fought for gender equality. From activists to scientists, women all around the world are speaking up and effecting change.
But, there’s still work to do. The rights that our ancestors fought for are being stalled because of a Trump-era legal memo blocking the Equal Rights Amendment. This International Women’s Day, let’s codify the ERA.
Add your name now to join me in calling for the certification of the ERA to codify gender equality into our constitution.
This morning, I called on Senate leadership to hold a vote immediately on the passage of the ERA because a century after the introduction of the ERA, we have yet to constitutionally ban discrimination on the basis of sex.
We must join together and show that we will not stop fighting until the ERA is part of our country’s constitution.
Honor the women who fought for our rights and add your name today→
Thank you,
Carolyn
