See how our work in the Middle East is helping Syrian refugee children learn and heal.

Hey John,

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that the IRC’s partnership with Sesame Workshop will be featured on 60 Minutes tonight, November 17th!

I grew up with Sesame Street and know firsthand the impact it can have on young children. It's one of the reasons I'm so excited about this partnership and how we're working together with Sesame to bring education, hope and healing to Syrian refugee children.

A little background before you tune in. This program is the largest early childhood development program in the history of humanitarian response. Our direct services, which include education materials and activities meant to boost a child's social, emotional and learning skills, will reach more than 1 million children across Syria, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon.

There will also be Ahlan Simsim — "Welcome Sesame" in Arabic. This is a new television show modeled after Sesame Street. It's aimed at children aged 3-8 to help them recover from trauma and deal with stress. The show will help us reach millions more families across the region.

Learn more by tuning in to 60 Minutes on CBS tonight, Sunday, November 17th at 7:30pm EST / 7pm PST! (Check your local listings for more details in your local time zone)

We can't wait for you to see the impact this incredible program is having on refugee children.

All my best,

Orwin Evenson
