Hi Friend, We hope all of our guests at the 2022 Progressive Summit had a fantastic time learning and conversing about the various issues facing our state in the coming year. But we’ve got even more in store with the return of Progressive University! In a typical year, the Progressive Summit hosts a variety of breakout sessions. This year, since we were still in the virtual space we wanted to expand our usual breakout sessions past the Summit and create a space to keep the learning going. This brought us to Progressive University: a weekly series of trainings, workshops, and panels to continue to educate and mobilize progressives statewide about the issues that matter most. Our first episode of 2022, kicking of Wednesday, March 9th, at 6:00PM, will be a presentation and discussion led by the Nevada Coalition Against the Death Penalty! As you may recall, the effort to abolish the death penalty in Nevada made it further in 2021 than ever before, but failed a critical deadline before the end of session. But the coalition hasn’t given up on ending this cruel and unjust practice, and they need help from all of us to make it happen in 2023! Unlike Out in Front, this will be a private event on Zoom, so please remember to register HERE for the event in order to join the conversation!
