On March 10, 1993, Dr. David Gunn, a 47-year-old OB/GYN who performed abortions in Pensacola, Florida was murdered by anti-abortion terrorists as he walked from his car to the clinic. It was a devastating loss and a terrifying time for our community. 

Friends, family, and colleagues wanted to remember Dr. Gunn, so they launched Abortion Provider Appreciation Week to honor his legacy of providing safe, compassionate abortion care, and to celebrate those who continue the work. 

Anti-abortion, Christian supremacists have murdered 10 more doctors and clinic workers, escalating their intimidation of providers and patients alike. 

This is why it is so important that all week, and especially on March 10th, we CELEBRATE ABORTION PROVIDERS, by being PRO-ABORTION. 

When we publicly support clinics and funds, we are saying that we see how critical they are to our communities. 

When we send love to abortion providers, we are celebrating the ability to access healthcare on our own terms.  

When we don’t let the trolls dictate how we should feel about bodies and reproductive abilities - WE KEEP THIS MOVEMENT GOING. 

We think the best way to say “NOT TODAY SATAN” to a bunch of garbage barnacles who think murdering doctors is “jusifiable homocide” is to Adopt-A-Clinic!

And on the actual Abortion Provider Appreciation Day (Thursday March 10th),  Feminist Buzzills Live! is dedicating our entire episode to Women's Health Center of West Virginia, the ONLY abortion provider left in the entire state. 

Anti-abortion extremists are literally surrounding them on all sides, and we'll break down the local, state, and federal battles they're fighting to keep abortion accessible.
