Friend - Gun violence is worsening, and the only people standing in the way of change are a few lawmakers in key positions. Your voice, your political power, more than anything else, will impact whether our future will be a worsening storm of violence or the changing of tides. I need you to join me in Harrisburg on April 26th for Advocacy Day. RSVP now. The day will be packed with opportunities to use your political power to make our communities safer and hold our elected leaders accountable for their inaction. We’ll be broadcasting videos of survivors bravely sharing their stories, and we’ll be leading groups through meetings with key legislators to propel our legislative agenda forward. At the forefront of this work will be our Common Agenda, a three-part legislative proposal that will greatly reduce gun violence all across Pennsylvania. Our evidence-based approach to preventing gun violence is exactly what Pennsylvanians want and need, and now it is our job as advocates to ensure that legislative players take action and follow through on our needs. |

We know what happens when legislators are not forced to seat themselves at a table with their constituents: it’s pure disaster. While the death toll continues to climb, while guns remain the leading cause of death for young people, while gun suicide and community violence continue to plague our lives and families, some lawmakers just don’t get it. They refuse to support evidence-based solutions that are widely supported, instead proposing legislation that is widely opposed by Pennsylvanians across the political spectrum and across life experience. Join our broad coalition of gun violence prevention advocates in Harrisburg. Have powerful conversations with lawmakers and help us secure co-sponsorship for solutions that will save the lives of thousands of Pennsylvanians when passed. Do it for your family, your neighbors, for the next generation of kids who deserve to live full, happy lives, rather than be buried by their parents as their classmates cry.
