Today’s an exciting day for my campaign, john, and I wanted you to hear it from me: I’m officially launching my re-election campaign for Attorney General of Nevada!
I just got back from filing my paperwork with the Secretary of State’s office that will get my name on the official 2022 ballot. With my wife Berna right by my side, it was an honor and a privilege to officially launch my bid to remain the people’s lawyer. As Attorney General, I’ve fought every single day to preserve our democratic norms, to protect our rule of law, our democracy, and our values. I want to keep doing that, john. I want to continue to make progress on the issues impacting Nevada families the most, like expanding access to education, reforming our criminal justice system, and protecting our civil rights — including holding any criminal or corporation that causes harm to Nevadans accountable. And there’s still work to be done. Reproductive and voting rights are under attack nationwide. Folks are struggling to pay bills, battling addiction, or being taken advantage of by unscrupulous scammers and lenders. I’m ready to continue my work as an advocate for all Nevadans — and looking forward to discussing these issues with folks across the state over the course of this campaign. It takes a significant amount of resources to connect with voters, and build the campaign infrastructure necessary to win and defend the progress we’ve made together.
