Democracy, both here and abroad, is facing some of its greatest threats in our lifetime. We have political incentives that are pitting us against each other and grinding our government to a halt, while autocrats exploit our divisions and disillusionment. This U.S. Senate race in Wisconsin, taking on the incumbent Ron Johnson, is central to countering these trends, and protecting and renewing our democracy.
Next week on March 16th, we are honored to have a leading voice nationally on democracy, Stanford Professor and author Larry Diamond, join us for a virtual fundraiser to support our campaign. Diamond has recognized the importance of this race and believes in our campaign's fight for an inclusive, responsive political system. He knows our campaign is the only one that will successfully replace Ron Johnson’s divisive politics and attract a new coalition for democracy in Wisconsin and in the U.S. Senate.
