John,
Today, on International Women’s Day, and throughout Women’s History Month, it’s critical that we remember the many ways women in America and around the world still face gender-based discrimination.
From closing the gender pay gap to ending intimate-partner violence, we still have work to do to ensure that women are treated equally in our society.
One concrete action we can and must take is securing women’s right to make their own medical decisions. Reproductive freedom is essential: The ability to decide if and when to have a child gives women the agency they deserve to set the course of their lives.
I will always defend reproductive rights in North Carolina, John, but with Roe v. Wade under threat like never before, it’s crucial that we all join together to show our support for defending the right to safe, accessible abortion care. Please, add your name beside mine now >>>
Thank you for standing with me in this fight,
Roy Cooper
