Dear John,

Today, we are thrilled to announce Sister District’s second wave of State Bridges partners for the year: Citizen Action and WISDOM in Wisconsin, the A. Philip Randolph Education Fund (APREF) and Carolina Federation in North Carolina, and the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada (PLAN) and One APIA in Nevada.

If you agree that community-based, long-term organizing is a critical part of building progressive power, will you donate $20.22 right now to our incredible partners in Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Nevada? Or, read on to learn how our State Bridges program works.

Protecting and expanding our democracy depends on progressive victories in key battleground states like Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Nevada. Those victories are possible when we infuse local power-building organizations with the resources they need to organize in their communities. Long-term community-based organizing, often led by people of color, lays the foundation for building progressive power in state legislatures come Election Day.

Through April 2022, Sister District is holding virtual fundraisers for each State Bridges partner. Each event features special guests from our partner organizations in conversation with Sister District founders and other progressive leaders, and opportunities for attendees to ask questions and learn more about what's happening on the ground.

Our upcoming 2022 State Bridges events are:

  • March 16: Pennsylvania – Pennsylvania Stands Up and Pennsylvania United. Featuring special guests: Pennsylvania Stands Up's Executive Director Carrie Santoro and Pennsylvania United's Managing Director Jennifer Rafanan Kennedy.
  • March 30: Wisconsin - Citizen Action and WISDOM. Special guests: Citizen Action's Executive Director Robert Kraig and WISDOM's Executive Director David Liners.
  • April 13: North Carolina - A. Philip Randolph Education Fund (APREF) and Carolina Federation. Special guests: APREF's Executive Director Melvin Montford and Carolina Federation's co-Executive Director Sendolo Diaminah.
  • April 20: Nevada - Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada (PLAN) and One APIA. Special guests: PLAN's Executive Director Laura Martin and One APIA's Deputy Director Eric Jeng.

Thank you for joining us as we build power in our states.

In solidarity,
The Sister District Team
