Team,

Regular delivery and pickup of mail here in Virginia and all over the United States has become increasingly unreliable in recent years. And that is unacceptable.

Getting your mail in a timely manner shouldn’t be too much to ask. For a while now I’ve been asking the hard questions on why USPS has been having so much trouble. And now, I’m happy to report that the Senate is actively considering a bill that will help with some of these issues.

The Postal Service Reform Act is currently being considered in the Senate – our opportunity to spur the kind of changes folks in Virginia and across the country want to see. Add your name to the petition now if you support much-need postal service reform. [link removed]

This bipartisan boost to the United States Postal Service will save $50 billion over the next ten years.

It also includes much needed accountability and transparency. USPS would be required to have data on national and local level service performance available online.

And most importantly, it mandates postal service at least six days per week.

The benefits of this bill are clear for anyone who has experienced recent issues with the postal service. Sign our petition now to urge the Senate to quickly pass this bill. [link removed]

Thank you,

Mark
