President Putin's invasion of Ukraine puts the lives of millions at risk. This conflict needs to end. Now.
Yesterday, we heard again from President Zelenskyy of Ukraine in a video he exclusively shared with Global Citizen.
He spoke of every person’s right to live in safety and to pursue happiness and of every nation’s right to exist and provide this for its people. He called for an immediate end to the war so Ukraine and its people can live in peace.
Katie Couric, journalist and founder of Katie Couric Media, and David Miliband, president and CEO of the International Rescue Committee, discussed the video, along with the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine and happening around the world in conflict zones from Afghanistan to Syria.
We know that the actions of our incredible Global Citizens can affect extraordinary change. As President Zelenskyy reminds us, “Politicians always follow people, so please speak up, I beg you to speak about Ukraine.”
