The price of gas continues to skyrocket, making it harder for working families to get by. Despite this, the Biden Administration has worked to shut down and delay projects in Alaska such as ANWR, the Willow Project, and has recently moved to close much of the National Petroleum Reserve - Alaska. High gas prices also drive up the cost of food and other necessities. Many of our friends in the Lower 48 have no idea how expensive life can be, especially in our remote communities and Alaska Native villages. This all comes amid Russia’s illegal war on Ukraine, which has impacted global energy markets and the supply chain.
