Last week, Erick stood on the floor of the Georgia House to speak out against HB 1178 — the so-called “Parents’ Bill of Rights.”
As usual, he called it like he saw it. He said that HB 1178 was the “worst education legislation I’ve ever seen.” And he’s right, xxxxxx.
This legislation causes problems instead of solving them. It politicizes our education system, exploits our students for partisan gain, and does nothing but give Republicans something to run on this November.
And y’all, I’m so grateful that Erick was there to call out the GOP’s political games and call this bill what it is — a useless, harmful attempt to interfere with our students’ education.
Erick is the parent of a public school student. He knows that the relationship between teachers and parents should be collaborative, built on trust, and transparent.
