Happy International Women’s Day! Today, C6 Project celebrates the contributions of women around the world, past and present, who have paved the way for future generations.

Here at The C6 Project, we’re proud to have endorsed four trailblazing women candidates – true climate champions – who will fight to build the green economy our nation deserves (and which our planet desperately needs).

Senator Maggie Hassan introduced legislation to support the solar energy industry and create jobs; reauthorized the Land and Water Conservation Fund to protect our natural resources; and led the charge to ensure clean drinking water access across New Hampshire.

Representative Lauren Underwood successfully passed six bills into law in her first term alone, including legislation that prevents federal agencies from censoring public information about the climate crisis. Lauren is the youngest Black woman ever elected to Congress, a champion of the 100% Clean Economy Act, and a fighter who will make our economy work for everyone.

Representative Katie Porter is a tireless advocate for consumers and working families against greedy Wall Street banks and big corporations. She is committed to fighting for a clean economy and protecting our natural resources, and she doesn’t take a DIME from corporate PACs.

Representative Haley Stevens is all about creating clean, good-paying jobs. During the Great Recession, she worked alongside President Obama to rebuild Michigan’s economy and create jobs. Today, she serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure committee innovating new ideas for clean jobs and clean technology.

Together, these women are paving the way for young climate champions to follow in their footsteps, and we’re incredibly proud to have endorsed their re-election campaigns ahead of this year’s midterm elections.
