Youth work has an important role to play in unpacking issues of peace and conflict

Hello John,

We are all horrified by the devastation resulting from the invasion of Ukraine, and we
know that the young people in our lives are keenly aware of the unfolding crisis. Youth work has an important role to play in helping young people unpack issues of peace and conflict. To support those of you working with young people, our practice team has developed this guide on discussing war with young people.

Today marks International Women's Day

Celebrating International Women’s Day, let’s think especially of the strong women and girls in Ukraine and those who have left Ukraine to seek safety wherever they can find it. Youth work is a powerful force challenging stereotypes and standing up for the human rights of women everywhere. To mark #IWD2022 we're also sharing resources ([link removed]) from our team and our members that support this great work.

Please let us know if you have any feedback on either of the pieces above, and do share the guide ([link removed]) with anyone you think will find it useful.

Warmest regards,

Mary
