Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi have made it clear that they do not care about your
rights.  
 
From their murky “science” around mandatory masks, to re-erecting the fence
around Capitol grounds to prevent free speech and religious gatherings, Biden
and Pelosi will stop at nothing to consolidate power while stripping away the
freedom that you and I hold dear.

 

However, thanks to YOU, we’ve been able to stand up to the Biden
Administration and the radical left in some incredibly important ways.

 

And as we go into the third month of 2022, I wanted to look back at all the
ways Center for American Liberty has stood up for our liberties during Joe
Biden’s first year as president.  

 

1. Our First Amendment rights are under assault across the board, but
especially online. 

 

From Big Tech censorship to Antifa thuggery and threats, the radical left
HATES IT when you and I say things that fall outside of its narrative.

 

Whether it’s asking questions about voter fraud, voicing concern about forced
vaccinations, or commenting on scientific data – the unholy union of Big Tech
and leftist government officials want to shut you up. 

 

That’s exactly why we’re suing Twitter on behalf of Rogan O’Handley. When he
took to Twitter to ask questions and share concern over voter fraud, left-wing
politicians and consulting firms colluded with Twitter to permanently silence
him. 

 

This is a terrifying precedent, but we’re not going to let the left get away
with shameless censorship like this without a fight. And this case is now
headed to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  

 

2. Last year, when out-of-control politicians and bureaucrats decided that
they were going to wage war on your right to make your own medical decisions,
your support enabled us to step in and make a major difference. 

 

As vaccine mandates were coming down on hard-working Americans across the
country, we saw what was going on and immediately went on high alert. 

 

Among those being punished by these mandates was a teacher who worked in the
Montgomery County, Maryland school system who was DENIED a religious exemption
from getting the vaccine.  

 

We heard about the trouble he was having and immediately filed suit.  

Shortly thereafter, the school system agreed to grant him the religious
exemption and allow others to seek a religious accommodation too—before our
lawsuit Montgomery County Public Schools refused to consider any religious
accommodations at all.  
 

3. The rights of parents are under assault from the radical left. Whether it’s
California Governor Gavin Newsom attempting to force private and religious
schools to close their doors, or teachers in schools grooming children to
distrust their parents and identify as transgender. 

 

In the summer of 2020, Gavin Newsom signed an order to keep schools in
California closed. This order would’ve left over 80% of California’s population
without equal access to basic education for their children.  

We sued and won and we even won an early victory at the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeals, which ruled that Gov. Newsom violated parents’ Due Process rights by
closing private schools.  

 

But in January 2022, this case was brought back to the Ninth Circuit Court of
Appeals for an en banc review at the request of Gov. Newsom. As it stands
today, we have re-argued the case before theen banc panel and we are awaiting
their judgment. 

 

On top of this, we have initiated legal action against Spreckels School
District in California for circumventing parental rights by actively grooming a
young girl to identify as “transgender.”  

 

You see, John, your support has enabled us to take on these cases and many
more. 

 

Whether it’s Joe Biden, Gavin Newsom, or other members of the far-left, we
won’t allow their blatant violations of our Constitutional rights to stand.  

 

But we couldn’t have taken on ANY of these cases without your help. 

In addition to all the critical work you’ve helped us do in the last year,
you’ve enabled us to expand our team and to take on more cases. 

We’re hiring for multiple positions right now, including another
constitutional lawyer to help us take on a larger number of cases in the coming
year.  

 

So John, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.  

We’re so grateful to have you alongside The Center for American Liberty in
