Will you speak up and urge Senators to quickly confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson for the Supreme Court?
Get this: after rushing through the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg in just 27 days in the fall of 2020, Republicans are now throwing a fit because Democrats plan to hold a final vote on whether to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson by April 8.
Senator Chuck Grassley had the gall to say "we should not sacrifice the integrity of our constitutional advice and consent responsibility to meet an arbitrary timeline" -- barely a year after they did exactly that to rush Barrett's confirmation through before the November 2020 election.1
The Senate's plan to hold hearings and a vote on Jackson's nomination is sensible and reasonable. And Grassley's comments suggest Republicans plan to do everything they can to try and block her nomination.
With the Supreme Court hearing crucial cases about voting rights, abortion rights, and the climate crisis, there's no time to lose in ensuring Ketanji Brown Jackson is quickly confirmed to the Supreme Court. Will you send an urgent message to the Senate?
