John,

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, I’m thinking about our mothers, grandmothers and the countless women who have fought so hard for the freedoms we enjoy today.

I’m thinking about the women who worked for the right to vote—who didn’t give up after just one march, or one setback. About the women who fought for our right to choose—for basic health care and reproductive freedoms. And I’m thinking about the women fighting today—without fanfare or recognition—to make our country a place that lives up to its promise.

It’s also not lost on me that so many of these hard-won rights are in jeopardy today—and that women of color and low-income women will be disproportionately impacted by the attacks on voting and reproductive rights sweeping our country.

Representation matters, John. Today, women make up just 27 percent of all members of Congress. Our voices and perspectives matter—and we need to hear them if we’re going to have a government that truly represents us. But glass ceilings don't shatter themselves. We have to put in the work.

That’s where Off the Sidelines comes in: We’re providing game-changing women candidates with the financial support they need to run for office—and win. I never would have been elected without the networks of women and grassroots donors who supported me throughout my first campaign. I’m proud that Off the Sidelines can be there for women like Val Demings, Catherine Cortez Masto and Maggie Hassan when it matters most.

So please: in honor of Women’s History Month, can you make a donation to Off the Sidelines to help elect the next generation of game-changing women leaders?

I’m so grateful for your support,
Kirsten

P.S. I recently got to spend time with two of the fantastic women Off the Sidelines has endorsed this year—Rep. Val Demings and Former Chief Justice Cheri Beasley. Val and Cheri are running for Senate in Florida and North Carolina, respectively, and perfectly embody the spirit of Off the Sidelines—I hope we can count on your support.
