Hi there, John — it’s Akbar here to lay out some of the different policy stances between Josh and his GOP opponents.
Let’s break it down by issue:
Issue |
Josh's Stance |
Republicans' Stance |
Abortion |
Believes abortion is a right; will fight to defend the right to choose |
Working to severely restrict abortion access; some threatening to ban it if they become Governor |
Voting Rights |
Will use his veto pen to stop GOP voter suppression bills and will fight to expand access to the ballot box |
Want to make it harder for millions of Pennsylvanians to vote; some even wanted to give politicians the ability to throw out your votes when they didn’t like the results |
Election administration |
Will appoint a pro-democracy Secretary of State |
Could use the Governor’s office to overturn the 2024 election for Donald Trump |
Workers’ rights |
Supports unions and wants to create more good-paying, stable jobs |
Supported union-busting legislation and opposed common sense protections for workers |
Education |
Believes every student should have access to a high-quality education regardless of their zip code |
Don’t believe the facts that some of our schools are severely underfunded |
I could go on and on about Josh’s vision for the future of Pennsylvania and how it differs from Republicans’ — but I think you get the picture.
Josh is going to work hard to improve Pennsylvania and better the lives of everyone in the Commonwealth. Republicans just want to drag the state backward, take away the rights we depend on, and make it harder for Pennsylvanians to get ahead.
If we want to see Josh’s pro-Pennsylvania policies become a reality, we need all hands on deck to elect him in this extremely competitive election. John, will you chip in a few bucks to fuel this campaign’s efforts?
