The latest data out of Iowa: Midnight fundraising deadline is critical to protecting Senate majority

John – radical Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley (IA) is running for reelection, and his challenger, Democrat Abby Finkenauer, is going to need all of the grassroots support possible to defeat him. Here are the latest numbers from our data team:

* 64% of Iowa voters DON'T want to reelect Sen. Grassley, and Abby is running to defeat him in what The Hill is calling a "tough race" for Sen. Grassley – making this our best chance in decades to flip this seat blue.

* The Senate is split 50-50, meaning Democrats MUST defeat vulnerable incumbents like Sen. Grassley to maintain and expand our majority.

* The GOP Senate campaign arm already has $39 MILLION dedicated to defeating Democratic challengers like Abby and taking back the Senate – and an ally of Mitch McConnell has vowed to make Joe Biden a "half-term president" by dismantling Democratic majorities in Congress. 

* Our midnight deadline is quickly approaching, and Abby is forecast to fall short of the $10,000 she needs to raise to defeat Sen. Grassley in Iowa.

John, Sen. Chuck Grassley is vulnerable, and if Abby defeats him it will virtually guarantee Democrats control of the Senate. But we simply cannot win without the resources to compete. We need a major surge in donations before our midnight fundraising deadline.
