John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you:

  • Is the New York Times turning on Mark Zuckerberg and CTCL?
The Gray Lady published an op-ed, in which Christopher Caldwell pointed out the irony of the Left's about-face from abolishing to defending billionaires, since they're a "larger potential threat to our democracy" than any Trump supporter attending the January 6 rally. Caldwell notes that "relief funds" from the Center for Tech & Civic Life (CTCL) were unnecessary and threatened election integrity. CRC's Hayden Ludwig reports on this latest crack in the Left's narrative that we enjoyed the "most secure [election] in American history" here.
  • What is it like to live (and die) in Sorostan?
With just $29 million Soros has effectively created two systems of law in the country: first, an America based on hundreds of years of legal tradition and experience; second, another America which has abandoned all norms. The divide between these two Americas is so severe that commentators have begun observing that places like Philadelphia and Los Angeles resemble "a third-world country." CRC's Parker Thayer gives a guided tour of Sorostan here.
  • Is climate regulation as we know it about to end?
The petitioners in West Virginia v. EPA are challenging the Environmental Protection Agency's authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions and the underlying "endangerment finding" on which much environmental regulation rests. Environmental leftists have every reason to shake in their boots: "West Virginia could wind up permanently hobbling the government's ability to fight climate change." Hayden Ludwig exposes environmentalists' fear here.
  • When did Henry Ford become a major leftist donor?
One "lefty" billionaire has been exerting massive influence on our politics for decades, yet has received almost no media scrutiny. This is more striking because Henry Ford died in 1947 and didn't develop his left-leaning politics until after his death. The people spending his money give it to groups advocating for all manner of left-wing policies. CRC's Ken Braun investigates here.
  • Is Congress going to reform philanthropy?
Unelected, unaccountable, and tax-favored establishment philanthropy in America has sparked a growing number of harsh progressive, populist, and just plain rule-of-law critiques. In this political environment, policymakers on both sides of the aisle seem willing to aggressively examine Big Philanthropy. CRC's Michael Hartmann reports on the past and future of American philanthropy here.

Black Lives Matter Financial Scandal

I recently appeared on Your Voice Your Future: Town Hall with Armstrong Williams to discuss the growing financial scandal over the $60 million in donations that Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF) has failed to account for. BLMGNF's finances have all sorts of "anomalies," including millions of dollars that were sent to Canada, where the wife of BLMGNF co-founder Patrisse Cullors used the money to buy the old headquarters of the Communist Party of Canada.
