It is no secret that California needs help - homelessness, increased crime, burdensome regulations, high housing costs, and ever-increasing taxes. People and businesses are leaving California in record numbers. I believe, as do many others, that this slide can be reversed. 

As a State Senator, I have been a constant voice to restore California to the Golden State that it once was. That is why I have earned top ratings from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, the Deputy Sheriffs' Association, the San Diego Police Officers Association, and leaders such as Congressman Darell Issa, Congressman Brian Bilbray, Supervisor Joel Anderson, San Diego City Councilman Chris Cate, and Former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer are supporting me and have endorsed my re-election to the State Senate.
